This book is a comprehensive approach to structured testing, based on the research and development work that was conducted by IQUIP Informatica B.V. in the Netherlands. The TMap model has become the standard for Dutch speaking countries and is spreading throughout Europe and the USA. The TMap approach in the book is based on OO, but is easily adaptable to other architectures (this is covered in the final part of the book).

The book is intended for all levels of reader and addresses all levels of testing. There is something for everybody (as far as testing goes). If you are thinking about starting a testing division or are looking for guidelines on testing analysis, you would have a good book in your hands. You will find a model with a test life cycle, test techniques, framework for an organisation and testing infrastructure.

I feel that this book will become one of the software testing classics. As the writer of the foreword said "… I recognised some familiar favourites, some original ways of applying them, some I have known under other names, and some I haven't seen before"(Dorothy Graham). I have to agree with this statement.

The book is divided into sections that cover the general principals of TMap, a testing life cycle, testing techniques, testing organisation, infrastructure and variations on the theme.

Put this one on your testing bookshelf.
